The Administrative Assistant position will be based at the Pocahontas campus but may require occasional travel to the Paragould location, as well as occasional evening work. This is a full-time, 12-month position. This person will work under the supervision of the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health.
Specific Responsibilities for Nursing & Allied Health
This position is responsible for assisting the Dean of Nursing & Allied Health as well as the allied health program directors with performing general office duties, preparing special reports, and in examining and verifying documents. Greets and assists students at the office entrance, answers phone calls, provides general information, takes messages, and redirects calls as necessary, responds/replies to voicemails and emails from students, faculty, staff, vendors and stakeholders.
This position composes, types, and proofreads various documents including letters, memoranda, reports, forms, narratives, and training materials utilizing a variety of software packages, such as but not limited to Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, maintains computerized, paper and electronic filing systems, records and logs, manipulates statistical data for the departments and related grant activities, and retrieves information upon request. Examples include advisement files, program specific applications and database, record keeping for grants, database for adjunct faculty contracts and required immunizations.
This position completes purchase requests for payment from multiple allied health vendors, processes purchase requests from student fees, maintains departmental budget log entry and invoicing, etc., schedules appointments, makes travel arrangements, and maintains calendars for Nursing and Allied Health faculty.
The person filling this position will need to have a flexible schedule; arranges schedule to accommodate availability at night and performs other duties as assigned.

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for an Industrial Automation Instructor. The Industrial Automation Instructor works under the direct supervision of the Dean of Business & Technical Education and Vice President of Academics and is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Industrial Automation and Industrial Robotics. Summer employment and overload hours are possible. This position may require travel to additional BRTC locations. Other Responsibilities:

Candidates with strong proficiency in troubleshooting and programming automated systems, as well as, specific experience with ABB robotics (programming, operation, or maintenance) will have priority consideration. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Administrative Specialist for the Office of Workforce Training works under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Workforce Training and is responsible for typing, and providing clerical support associated with daily business operations. Additionally, the Administrative Specialist: 1.) Complete all data entry for the class files. 2.) The Marketing Specialist reports to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of a wide variety of promotional and marketing initiatives for BRTC and the BRTC Foundation.聽 Duties include creating and managing all paid marketing print and digital campaigns and content for BRTC and the BRTC Foundation; co-coordinating all photography and video creation and editing as well as organization, storage, maintenance, and access with the Communications Specialist; coordinating signage creation and printing with the Communications Specialist; leading the selection of, design, ordering, and dissemination of promotional items for the College and Foundation; creating and maintaining a marketing plan as well as preforming market research; managing the marketing budget; and assisting other IA members with IA activities such as communications and development, as necessary.

SKILLS

Excellent written and oral communication, photography, and technology skills are required. Must be customer service-oriented, well-organized, and detail-oriented. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and meet strict deadlines. Must be able to function well in a team environment, be self-motivated, and possess critical thinking skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

The formal educational equivalent of a baccalaureate degree or in marketing, digital media, or a related field or a baccalaureate degree with 5 years advertising, social media, marketing, and promotion experience is required.聽 A masters degree or in marketing, digital media, or a related field is preferred.

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for two positions for part time Campus Police Officers on the Paragould Campus. There will be one position that will be hired to be present primarily during early morning to late afternoon and one position to be present primarily during late afternoon and early evening hours but also occasional Saturday classes or special events. Therefore, the hours and times may fluctuate on a semester-by-semester basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains security of assigned areas and enforces parking regulations; issues traffic and parking citations; investigates incidents and reported crimes; prepares official reports of accidents and criminal investigations; and checks buildings for unlocked doors or unlocks doors in emergency situations, and responds to security companies when alarms are triggered after hours. This position will be required to work evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

The formal education equivalent of Associate Degree plus two years of experience in law enforcement or related areas. Other job-related experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements.

 

Must be certified by a Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) as a Certified Police Officer, and must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator鈥檚 license. Must be 21 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be a U.S. citizen, have no felony convictions. Applicants will be required to meet these state requirements drug screen, medical and psychological examinations, and an intensive background investigation.

  • Eight hours of sick leave monthly after fulfilling all work hours in a pay period
  • Eight hours of vacation leave monthly after fulfilling all work hours in a pay period
  • Vacation leave increases according to years of service schedule
  • Eight hours per calendar year of education leave
  • A portion of health insurance premium paid by BRTC
  • $20,000 life insurance policy with premium paid by BRTC

QUALIFICATIONS

The formal education equivalent of Associate Degree plus two years of experience in law enforcement or related areas, or expectation to attend and graduate from the BRTC Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) within the allocated time frame as outlined by standards. The person obtaining this position will receive this training as paid training and no cost to the individual. They must also agree to 12-9-209 Reimbursement for Training Costs or Expenses contract for (18) months after completion of the training requiring a certificate of training from a law enforcement academy.聽 Other job-related experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements.
