Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Library Director is to provide efficient access to information to all patrons by effectively managing all library operations, including library resources, library personnel, and the library physical facility. Qualifications:

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for two positions for part time Campus Police Officers on the Paragould Campus. There will be one position that will be hired to be present primarily during early morning to late afternoon and one position to be present primarily during late afternoon and early evening hours but also occasional Saturday classes or special events. Therefore, the hours and times may fluctuate on a semester-by-semester basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains security of assigned areas and enforces parking regulations; issues traffic and parking citations; investigates incidents and reported crimes; prepares official reports of accidents and criminal investigations; and checks buildings for unlocked doors or unlocks doors in emergency situations, and responds to security companies when alarms are triggered after hours. This position will be required to work evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

The formal education equivalent of Associate Degree plus two years of experience in law enforcement or related areas. Other job-related experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements.

 

Must be certified by a Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) as a Certified Police Officer, and must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license. Must be 21 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be a U.S. citizen, have no felony convictions. Applicants will be required to meet these state requirements drug screen, medical and psychological examinations, and an intensive background investigation.

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the a Registered Nursing Faculty member.

The Registered Nursing faculty member shall be a Registered Nurse who is knowledgeable of the principles and practices in all fields of nursing practice.  The specific job duties and responsibilities of this position are varied and representative of providing didactic and clinical instruction and assessment of nursing curriculum for the Associate of Applied Science LPN-to-RN Transition program located in Paragould, AR. This individual works under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, Dean of Nursing & Allied Health and Vice President for Academics. This is a full-time, 12-month contract.

In addition to course and clinical development and instruction, job duties include the following: academic advisement, student recruitment and retention activities, course and program assessment, maintaining and completing course records and reports for approval and accrediting bodies, participation in various committee activities.  The position requires travel to various clinical sites and occasional travel to BRTC Pocahontas campus. Rotating weekend clinical hours are expected.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a valid, unencumbered registered nursing license in Arkansas or other compact state, with at least two years of experience in clinical nursing. Applicants must hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Previous educational experience in higher education preferred. Must possess current CPR certification; knowledge and skills related to teaching adults, teaching methodology, curriculum development, and evaluation. The faculty member must be willing to continue their education through on-going professional development.

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Campus Police Officer position on the Paragould Campus. Must be 21 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be a U.S. citizen, have no felony convictions. Applicants will be required to meet these state requirements drug screen, medical and psychological examinations, and an intensive background investigation.Ìý The position will be hired to be present primarily during early morning to late afternoon ,but also occasional Saturday classes or special events. Therefore, the hours and times may fluctuate on a semester-by-semester basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains security of assigned areas and enforces parking regulations; issues traffic and parking citations; investigates incidents and reported crimes; prepares official reports of accidents and criminal investigations; and checks buildings for unlocked doors or unlocks doors in emergency situations, and responds to security companies when alarms are triggered after hours. This position will be required to work evenings and weekends.

The formal education equivalent of Associate Degree plus two years of experience in law enforcement or related areas, or expectation to attend and graduate from the BRTC Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) within the allocated time frame as outlined by standards. The person obtaining this position will receive this training as paid training and no cost to the individual. They must also agree to 12-9-209 Reimbursement for Training Costs or Expenses contract for (18) months after completion of the training requiring a certificate of training from a law enforcement academy.Ìý Other job-related experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements.

Must be or become certified by BRTC Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) as a Certified Police Officer, and must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
