Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the following position of Math Instructor. The Math Instructor works under the direct supervision of the Dean of General Studies and Vice President of Academics and is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Math.听 This position will also be responsible for student advisement, and various committee assignments.听 This is a nine-month position requiring a total of thirty hours a week of combined classroom instruction and office hours. Summer employment and overload hours are possible. This position may require travel to additional BRTC locations.
Other Responsibilities:
路听听听听听听听听 Teach students in assigned classes in accordance with the course descriptions published in the catalog, the course syllabus, and with instructional procedures agreed upon by the Dean and the VP of Academics.
路听听听听听听听听 Keep up-to-date in teaching field and continue professional growth through graduate courses, in-service training, community service, work experience, or other related activities.
路听听听听听听听听 Maintain attendance, scholastic, and other records and submit information and reports in a timely manner as required by the Dean, Registrar, or VP of Academics.
路听听听听听听听听 Meet classes regularly and punctually and is prepared to conduct themselves as effectively as possible.
路听听听听听听听听 Teach evening classes and summer classes, if needed.
路听听听听听听听听 Prepare to teach via CVN, Moodle, or other forms of media.
路听听听听听听听听 Attend divisional meetings, faculty meetings, and faculty in-service training.
路听听听听听听听听 Post and maintain regular office hours for advising and consulting with students
路听听听听听听听听 File all course syllabi with the Dean and the VP of Academics.
路听听听听听听听听 Maintain and routinely review classroom assessment measures to assure a quality academic course.
路听听听听听听听听 Cooperate in the development of curriculum, preparation of course outline, and the selection of textbooks, library materials, instructional materials, equipment, and supplies as appropriate.
路听听听听听听听听 Assist in the advising and registration process.
路听听听听听听听听 Assist in preparing departmental budgets and staying within those budget guidelines.
路听听听听听听听听 Attend graduation ceremonies unless excused by the BRTC President.
路听听听听听听听听 Keep the classroom in a well-maintained manner, conducive to an educational setting.
路听听听听听听听听 Perform other work-related responsibilities as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Master鈥檚 Degree with eighteen (18) hours in the subject area. Preference will be given to the applicant with teaching experience at the collegiate level.
