POCAHONTAS, AR听 May 8 听鈥� To celebrate the upcoming BRTC mascot, the black hawk, BRTC President Martin Eggensperger invited Dr. Sandy Baltz鈥檚 drawing class students to draw their version of a black hawk.听 Dr. Eggensperger was very impressed by the students鈥� works.
Pocahontas native Ruth Patterson鈥檚 hawk will be hung in the president鈥檚 office.听 Patterson鈥檚 hawk is a black ink drawing and took her between eight and ten hours to complete.听 鈥淲hen asked what we hoped to accomplish in our Drawing I class,鈥� Patterson said, 鈥淚 stated, 鈥業 need your help to flesh out my stick figures.鈥欌��
Patterson is will be graduating with an associate鈥檚 degree from BRTC in December 2020.听 She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.听 鈥淚 love the beautiful BRTC campus, staff, and excellent instructors,鈥� she said.
