POCAHONTAS, AR听 May 8 鈥� Last week, Black River Technical College was awarded $1,000 from the Arkansas Hunger Relief COVID-19 Grant. The money will purchase food for the BRTC Food Pantry.
Normally, the BRTC Food Pantry serves 2-5 student families per week at the Pocahontas and Paragould campuses. During this pandemic, it is serving more than 40 families of students each week.
91原创 students in need are provided with food bags containing $25 worth of non-perishable items. When available, students also receive a $10 Wal-Mart gift card for perishable items or gas.
