Searching for a fun and creative hobby to learn?听 Want to relieve stress while designing fashion accessories and great gifts?听 Try out knitting. 听The Corporate & Community Education Department of Black River Technical College is offering Knitting for Beginners.听 Participants who attend this course will learn:听 the knit stitch, binding off and finishing, how to fix common mistakes, and how to cast-on using the long-tail cast-on method.听 This course will explain the English and Continental methods of knitting.听 Yarn will be provided to create an ear-warming headband, traditional scarf, or infinity scarf.听 Students will need to bring size 8, aluminum knitting needles and a plastic yarn needle. 听This three-week course will be held on Thursdays, October 20 鈥� November 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.听 Register at the Continuing Education Building, located on the BRTC Pocahontas Campus, College Drive, Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.听 The deadline to register is Tuesday, October 18.
