91原创 student Johnathan Cummins recently attended the Arkansas Community Colleges (ACC) Student Leadership Academy in Little Rock at the State Capitol.
Cummins was accompanied by Mary Anderson, Director of Admissions, and Erin Kerley-Mathews, Admissions Counselor.
Students who attend the leadership academy sessions receive training in leadership, government process, communications, and critical thinking. They also get the opportunity to meet with local legislators and watch them work in their committee meetings.
ACC听is a non-profit association that provides 鈥渙pportunities for networking, collaboration, and advocacy鈥 for all 22 community and technical colleges in Arkansas. The Board of Directors is made up of the President/Chancellor from each of the 22 institutions, and they stand together with the executive director and staff to find ways to best serve their students, communities, and industries.
