91原创 Practical Nursing Achieves 100% NCLEX Pass Rates Again

All 35 practical nursing (PN) students in BRTC鈥檚 Spring 2017 graduating class have achieved 100% on their NCLEX-PN pass rates. This is the 3rd time in 5 years that BRTC鈥檚 PN students have achieved a 100%.听 The NCLEX-PN is required for students to achieve their license and become licensed practical nurses (LPNs).

鈥淥ne of the reasons students come here is the because they know the quality of the program,鈥 said Tonya Hankins, PN director, 鈥渁nd of our excellent pass rates.听 When they come to BRTC, they know they can pass their NCLEX boards.鈥

The average 2017 NCLEX-PN pass rate for Arkansas is 90.9%.听听 Nationally, the average is 83.7%.

In 2016, only 1 student out of 41 did not pass the exam and in 2013, 2 students out of 38 did not pass.听 Otherwise, all students in BRTC鈥檚 program have passed the licensing exam.听 BRTC鈥檚 5-year average is 98%, Arkansas鈥 is 91%, and nationally it is 83%.

While Hankins directs and teaches in the program, other instructor include Sandra Green, Tahnee Green, Kelsey Cagle, Nancy Felts, Tina Stroud, and Jennifer Hibbard.听 For more information about BRTC鈥檚 PN program, visit www.blackrivertech.edu or contact Director Tonya Hankins at 870-248-4000 ext. 4174.
