POCAHONTAS, AR July 24, 2020 鈥� 听Jayla Mobley of Pocahontas has accepted the Dr. Karla Baltz, DDS, Scholarship, made possible by funding from Dr. Karla Baltz of Pocahontas.听 Mobley is a 2020 graduate of Pocahontas High School.听 She is the daughter of Jason and Felicia Mobley.听 Mobley is seeking an Associate of Arts in General Education and plans on a career in Dentistry.
The Dr. Karla Baltz, DDS, Scholarship is a 2019 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarship.听 The 2019 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarships have been awarded to 17 students attending BRTC.听 Each scholarship is sponsored by a $1,000 donor who is able to name the scholarship.听 The Black River Technical College Foundation matches the $1000 donation allowing students to be awarded $1,000 per semester, fall and spring, provided the student maintains enrollment and meets GPA requirements.
